Upper Woods is designated as an Approved Trout Waters Open to Year-Round Fishing. It has traditionally been stocked by the Commission (November-December) for winter fishing. Trout holdover year-round and both adult and fingerling phases are stocked annually in the lake. All other species of fish are managed under Commonwealth Inland Waters regulations.

A handicapped fishing pier is located near the launch ramp.

BOATING

Boating at Upper Woods Pond is limited to boats powered by electric motors and unpowered boats. There is a surfaced launch ramp and associated parking facilities.

Un-powered boats may be moored at the lake in accordance with Commission property regulations. To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources).
