December 2010 Opossum Lake Update
Work continues on repairing a leaking spillway at Opossum Lake. In fall 2008, the lake was drained for safe access to the spillway. Performance Construction Services, Inc. was awarded the contract with a $3.3 million bid in September 2010. Performance Construction Services began work on the spillway in November 2010. The spillway work is expected to be completed in March 2012. Opossum Lake is anticipated to be at full pool in fall 2012, depending on rainfall.

County, Opossum Lake is a 59-acre lake owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and managed by the Fish and Boat
Commission (PFBC) for recreational purposes.
Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. There are 3 access points and associated
parking facilities, 1 has a surfaced launch ramp.
