The PFBC leases the public use areas around the lake to Lehigh County [Lehigh County Government Recreation Leaser Lake page] and has done so since June 23, 1970. Lehigh County maintains park facilities and is responsible for maintenance of the areas used by lake visitors.

Leaser Lake offers excellent warmwater fishing opportunities. The Commission stocks the lake with trout a number of times throughout the year. Access for shore fishing is good.

Fish habitat structures have been placed in the lake over the years as part of the Commission's Cooperative Fish Habitat Improvement Program.

All species of fish are managed under Commonwealth Inland Waters regulations.

BOATING

Boating is limited to boats powered by electric motors and un-powered boats. There are 2 access points and associated parking facilities, both have a surfaced launch ramp.

Un-powered boats may be moored at the lake in accordance with Commission property regulations. To be used at the lake, boats must be registered or have a valid launch permit (permits are issued by the Commission or PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources).
