May 2016 – The lake is open for canoeing and kayaking. Fishing opportunities are limited as the fishery is reestablished, a process that takes 3-5 years. During this time, fishing at Colyer Lake will continue to be managed under the catch and release lakes program established January 1, 2016. The area immediately surrounding the dam will remain closed until new grass is established. The northern access is open for parking. The southern access will be opened mid-June.
