PFBC Hosts Outdoors Night with Harrisburg Senators Baseball
June 18, 2014

HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 18) - The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) and the Harrisburg Senators are once again teaming up to provide a special night at Metro Bank Park this Friday, June 20.

It’s titled “Outdoors Night” and provides baseball fans with an opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor activities within the park that evening. Kids can practice their skills at a fishing rod casting area before the game and can view various reptiles and amphibians on display. PFBC staff will also be present to answer questions.

“Fishing and baseball are a natural fit. Both provide great family fun, and we’re happy to be partnering with the Harrisburg Senators for a second year to provide this opportunity to Pennsylvania anglers,” said PFBC Executive Director John Arway. “In addition, the evening event provides an opportunity for baseball fans to learn more about what the Commission does and how both fishing and boating may just be their next recreational sport. What better place to enjoy both than a baseball park in the middle of the Susquehanna River!"

Fans with a Pennsylvania fishing license will receive $2 off Reserved, Box, Field Box, and Dugout Box seats on Outdoors Night by showing their fishing license at the Box Office. The ticket discount is also valid for families of license holders. To pre-purchase tickets, visit and enter the word OUTDOORS in all capital letters in the “Special Offer Code” text field. Then click the SUBMIT button next to the code and then click on the ticket option (Reserved, Box, Field Box, Dugout Box). From there, the section and ticket quantity can be selected.

All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and only orders that are purchased together can be seated together. Discounted tickets cannot be purchased by phone, and there are no refunds or exchanges for tickets purchased.

The PFBC also will be selling fishing licenses at the game, and anyone who purchases a license will receive a voucher to attend an upcoming Senators game.

“Outdoors Night” game time is at 7 p.m., and the gates open at 5:30 p.m. on June 20. The Senators face the Akron RubberDucks.

Metro Bank Park is located at 1 Championship Way, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Those wanting more information about tickets can contact the Harrisburg Senators at (717) 231-4444.
