| Sweet Valley, PA – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission invites the public to a fisheries survey demonstration at Lackawanna State Park Lake on Wednesday, September 19th at 1:00pm. This work is part of a scheduled catfish netting survey on the lake and provides a great opportunity to observe agency staff in action or to learn more about catfish and other fish species in the lake.
Biologists will be on hand to explain the survey process, tools of the trade and to provide life history information on fish species caught during the demonstration. Hatchery staff will be available to answer questions about catfish production and stocking. A large live catfish will be on display. Outreach staff will also provide a small tabletop display and be available to distribute publications or answer general questions about the agency.
The meeting site will be the main boat launch area off of route 407 at Lackawanna State Park. Directions and a park map are available at this web page: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/lackawanna/index.htm
