| Sweet Valley, PA – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission invites the public to a fish trap netting demonstration at Kaercher Creek Lake, Berks County on Wednesday, October 17th at 10:30 a.m. This work is part of a scheduled survey to determine the health of the catfish population and other fish species in the lake. It will be a great opportunity to observe agency staff in action or to learn more about how the Commission manages fish populations.
Biologists will be on hand to explain the survey process, tools of the trade and to provide life history information on fish species caught during the demonstration. Outreach and education staff will also be available to answer general questions about the agency.
The meeting site will be the Commission’s boat launch area at Kaercher Creek Lake just east of Hamburg and off of Old Route 22. A map and more information about the lake can also be found at this web page:
