| HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) announced today that it will temporarily close its Conneaut Lake access area beginning October 2 to begin a dredging project at the Crawford County site.
The project is necessary to remove sediment that has built up in the access area, making it difficult to launch boats.
Next week, crews will begin installing a pipeline in Inlet Run which will carry the material dredged from the access area to the retention basin located on the Snow Waters property. The dredging barge will start operating the week of October 8 and will last approximately one month.
The access area will remain closed until approximately November 9. However, the project could take as long as two months to complete if crews experience mechanical problems with the dredging barge or encounter harsh weather.
