|Sweet Valley, PA – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced today that the Terrytown Access on the North Branch Susquehanna River located in Terry Township, Bradford County will temporarily close on October 18, 2010. It is expected that the area will remain closed for approximately four weeks. PFBC construction crews will be replacing the existing ramp; placing stone on the existing entrance road, parking lot and ramp approach; and stabilizing the stream bank. Please note that the duration of the closure is approximate and the schedule is subject to change, due to weather or other factors.
Boaters are advised to use the public access at Towanda or the two public accesses at Wysox in Bradford County. All three accesses are North of Terrytown. A small public access suitable for non-powered boats (canoes and kayaks) is also available at Laceyville, Wyoming County. This non-powered boat access is South of Terrytown.
The mission of the Fish and Boat Commission is to protect, conserve, and enhance the Commonwealth’s aquatic resources and provide fishing and boating opportunities. For more information about fishing and boating in Pennsylvania, please visit our website at www.fishandboat.com.
