| Harrisburg,
PA -- The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission announced today that it will reopen its Frankford
Arsenal Access Area in Philadelphia County on March 1. The site had been closed for the winter since December.
On
a temporary basis, Frankford Arsenal will be open for public fishing and boating use from 9 a.m. to
10 p.m. The Fish and Boat Commission anticipates resuming normal hours of operation sometime in mid-April,
depending on the weather, at which time the docks will be installed.
The Fish and Boat Commission manages some
300 properties to provide free boat launch and/or fishing opportunities on the waters of the Commonwealth.
The Frankford Arsenal Access is one of the most popular public recreational fishing and boating sites
on the lower Delaware River.
