| Harrisburg, PA - Two new members have been appointed to the PA Fish and Boat Commission’s (PFBC) Boating Advisory Board.
Michael
LeMole of Media, Delaware County, and Andrew Talento of Verona, Allegheny County, join three other appointed
members.
LeMole is a naval architect and marine engineer and is the sole proprietor of LeMole Naval
Architecture, which handles all aspects of commercial vessel design, modification and analysis. He replaces
Michael Lentine.
Talento is general manager of the Tri-River Marine Trade Association in Pittsburgh.
He is a former member of the Marine Environmental Education Foundation and the National Marine Trade
Council. He fills the Boating Advisory Board slot formerly held by Rex Beers.
The Boating Advisory Board
has no direct regulatory authority. However it serves as an important advisory role to the Commission
on matters related to boats and boating on the waters of the Commonwealth. The Boating Advisory Board
includes five unpaid members appointed by the Governor for five-year terms and three ex officio members.
The other appointed members include Loren Lustig of Biglerville; Mary Liskow of Marysville; and Damian Zampogna of
Harrisburg. Also on the board are Dr. Doug Austen, Executive Director of the PFBC; Dan Martin, Director of Boating
and Access for the PFBC; and David Barrett, Bureau of State Parks, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
Boating
Advisory Board meetings are held in conjunction with the Commission’s quarterly
meetings. They are open to the public and interested community members are encouraged to attend. |
