Brendan Lee of the Greentown area with a 27 inch very healthy chain pickerel taken from Promised Land State Park, Upper Lake on Saturday, 3/1. The fish was caught on a tip up near the Pickerel Point (of course!) section of the lake.

Pictured are the results of an ice fishing trip on private lake on March 11. Pictured on left is Richard Roberts, South Montrose (retired Waterways Conservation Officer for the PFBC) and on right Ken Post of Hallstead. The perch pictured were 14" long and the largemouth bass was 19”.  Most were caught on tip ups but some were also caught jigging with wax and meal worms. Perch catches

Dakota Saylor, age 8, caught his first trout through the ice.  The 11.75-inch rainbow trout was caught using a jigging rod baited with cheese.  He was fishing with his mom, Jessica Hollada and stepdad at Laurel Hill Lake on 2/16/14.

Mr. Roger Jenkins (Franklin, PA) with a recent muskellunge harvest. The fish was taken during the first week of February 2014, along the middle Allegheny River section of the county. This muskellunge weighed in at 22 pounds and measured 45 inches in length.

Allan Arnold, age 7, proudly holding a 19.5-inch largemouth bass on his first time ice fishing with his dad, Hans Arnold, from Farmington. This is also his first winter since he moved here from Australia.

Ben Wright, of Uniontown, with a 15.5-inch crappie caught January 9, 2014 at High Point Lake.  Peter also iced a couple of nice largemouth bass, northern pike and chain pickerel.

Nick Clement, age 11, with a 20.75-inch chain pickerel and Stuart Boller, age 12, with a 21.5-inch chain pickerel caught on January 4 at High Point Lake. They were fishing with their fathers Peter Clement & Barney Boller, all from Farmington.
