| Area 4 biologists sampled the largemouth bass population in Stephen Foster Lake (Mt.
Pisgah State Park) on the night of June 7, 2005. One hundred sixty eight (168) largemouth bass were
caught in 1.8 hours for a very respectable catch rate of 93 per hour. Forty eight percent (48%) of the
fish exceeded the minimum legal size limit of 12 inches. Below, Fisheries Biologist Aide Ryan McGrady is
