Big Spring Creek

August 27-28, 2003


Fisheries Management Division biologists for the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission monitor trout population changes in Big Spring Creek, Cumberland County. The Big Spring Fish Culture Station at the source of the stream closed in November 2001. Photos are of the electrofishing survey of trout populations conducted at several locations on Big Spring Creek on August 27-28, 2003. The tables show the comparison of the total number of trout by length captured for the same sites sampled in 2000, 2002 and 2003.
