Area 4 biologists conducted our biennial survey of Lily Lake’s northern pike population during the week of March 11, 2002. Pike numbers were moderate and some trophy sized individuals were present. The largest pike we found was 40.5 inches long and weighed 17.6 pounds, while the largest chain pickerel we found 25 inches long. Additionally, the lake’s bluegill, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, and brown bullhead populations were in excellent shape.
