On May 7, 2002 Area 1 personnel sampled Glade Run Lake for largemouth bass. Glade Run Lake is a 52-acre lake located in southern Butler County half way between Pittsburgh and Butler. This PA Fish and Boat Commission owned lake is stocked with trout but also has a nice largemouth bass population. In 60 minutes of electrofishing, 202 largemouth bass were caught. Fish ranged in size from 192 mm (7 inches) to 556 mm (22 inches). Most bass were from 10 to 12 inches long.
