Anglers fishing at Harveys Lake in Luzerne County will likely be interviewed by a Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Creel Clerk. The purpose of these interviews is to determine angler catch and harvest rates of stocked trout and to measure angler opinion of the special trout regulations that apply at this lake. The fall interview period, which extended from September 15 through November 30, resulted in a total of 477 angler interviews. We intend to continue the creel survey during the winter months if good ice forms on the lake and again during the regular trout season from April through June. So, if you’re approached by a Creel Clerk at Harveys Lake, we ask you to give him your full cooperation. The interviews only take two or three minutes and provide us with valuable information in managing this unique lake’s fishery.
