BIOLOGIST REPORT
Northmoreland Dam
Northmoreland Lake, Westmoreland County, was surveyed by Fish and Boat Commission biologists during April. The study was conducted using three trap net sets and two night electrofishing runs. Besides stocked trout, Northmoreland Lake provides anglers with panfishing opportunities. Good crappie and bluegill populations were observed, with quality-size fish present.

Largemouth bass from 7 to 10 inches in length dominated the bass population. The number of legal size (12 inches or larger) bass was low, but the total number of bass collected was good. The total number of bullheads and white suckers was low, but quality size fish were present.
