Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission biologists conducted a netting survey of Harveys Lake, Luzerne County in October and November, 2000. Results of the survey indicated that the lake’s smallmouth bass and brown trout populations continue to thrive.
The smallmouth bass we captured averaged 16.9 inches long with the largest being 19.5 inches and 3.5 pounds. The brown trout averaged 15.9 inches long with the largest being 21.5 inches and 4 pounds.
