Commissioner Squires is an organic chemist by education and training and has been active in the PFBC Cooperative Nursery Program in Chester County. He is a member of several outdoors organizations, including the West Chester Fish, Game and Wildlife Association, where he serves as president; the Brandywine Trout and Conservation Club; Trout Unlimited; Ducks Unlimited; the Delaware Riverkeeper; the Southeastern PA Anglers Coalition; and the International Hunter Education Association.

Commissioner Squires earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

He and his wife have two children and two grandchildren..
