On the cover
This tiger muskellunge (Esox lucius x Esox masquinongy) was captured from a Commission pond prior to it being drained for maintenance. The tiger muskellunge, along with a number of other salvaged fish, were held in concrete raceways at the Benner Spring State Fish Hatchery for a short time, which presented a unique opportunity to capture it with the aide of an underwater digital camera. The 37-inch tiger muskellunge along with the other salvaged fish were later released into Foster Joseph Sayers Lake, Centre County, for anglers to enjoy.
